Surprise for Levi (with a gratuitous Shiloh pic)

Shiloh will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. On the one hand, it seems like a blink since she was born. On the other hand, it seems like she's always been here. She is growing little by little every day. We will be glad for her 2-week checkup tomorrow to see just how much she is gaining.

Levi has been doing a great job adjusting to his new sister. He kisses and hugs her a hundred times a day, at least. We keep waiting on the "new" to wear off, but it hasn't.

Because we wanted to make sure Levi still felt special, we put up a giant Thomas the Train mural in his room while he spent the weekend vacationing with Nanny and Papaw. It was hard work, but sleep deprived Mommy and Daddy got it done!

We snapped a photo of him walking in to see it for the first time.

I think he likes it...

...don't you? :)

Home

We came home with Shiloh on Thursday, in the nasty, freezing weather. But she didn't care about the weather. And neither did we. It was good to be home. :)

Levi likes his sister. Maybe a bit too much right now. But that's okay. :)

Over the past couple of days, he's come up to me and said "I wub (love) your baby." To which I reply, "my baby?" And he says, "yeah...I wub her." And then we talk about how she belongs to all of us. I love those conversations...

She's getting pretty good at sucking her paci.

Not quite so good at sleeping...but we're working on that.

Announcing our Newest Hill...

Shiloh Hope. Welcomed today at 12:12 p.m., weighing 7 lbs, 20 inches long.

We already love her a lot. :)

The name "Shiloh" means "His gift" in Hebrew. Shiloh truly is a gift of hope for our family.

A New Year...a New Gingerbread House

If you can't make one for Christmas, how about for the New Year? It's yummy just the same!

Here is what we started with...a blank canvas.

Icing is great for building, and delicious!

And sticking candy to the icing is lots and lots of fun!

Here is the proud builder with the finished product!
