Psalm 34:18

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Three years ago today, we said goodbye to our sweet Aaron. It was not what we wanted, nor what we had prayed for so fervently along with so many others. It was a blow so terrible to us as a family...so horribly unimaginable, that we will continue to grieve the loss of our son until we are taken Home to meet him once again. However, knowing what we know about life after death...life with a Heavenly Father is unfathomably more wonderful than any earthly healing Aaron could have known.

Even the loving hand of a mother, grandmother or brother cannot compare to the joy and perfection Aaron knows now.

Though being held by his earthly father was comforting and peaceful, being held and healed by his Heavenly Father was far more wonderful than any earthly comfort he knew here.

For these reasons, though we grieve the loss of our son for ourselves, we rejoice in knowing Aaron was welcomed into Heaven to begin his eternal life three years ago today.
